The answer is quite simple really, altho the film is an American production, and has an American in the lead role, it was actually filmed in the Philippines and a lot of the actors that we know so well from Filipino films are in AMERICAN NINJA; Bert Spoor, Nick Nicholson, Jim Gaines, Henry Strzalkowski, Richard Norton, Eric Hahn, and more. So, yes, it fits the bill.
